We are seeking a dependable and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food according to recipes and restaurant standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Monitor food quality and presentation before dishes are served.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Restock supplies and notify management of inventory shortages.
- Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.
- Support other kitchen team members as needed during busy service periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a commercial kitchen preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
