Kiel James Patrick is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to support the construction, improvement, and maintenance of our retail and creative spaces.
This hands on position is ideal for a skilled craftsperson who takes pride in precise, high-quality work and can thoughtfully execute projects that reflect our classic New England aesthetic. Work will include projects at our store and other company locations, with occasional travel to New Hampshire.
Responsibilities
- Perform finish carpentry, including trim, molding, paneling, doors, shelving, cabinetry, built-ins, and custom woodwork
- Assist with store improvements, installations, repairs, and ongoing maintenance
- Build and install retail displays, fixtures, and other custom elements
- Read measurements, drawings, and project plans accurately
- Select appropriate materials and determine efficient construction methods
- Produce clean, precise work with careful attention to fit, finish, and detail
- Coordinate with our creative and operations teams to complete projects on schedule
- Travel occasionally to project locations in New Hampshire
Qualifications
- Professional finish-carpentry or comparable woodworking experience
- Strong knowledge of finish carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and installation methods
- Experience with cabinetry, built-ins, retail fixtures, or custom millwork is preferred
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work outside standard hours when a project requires it
- Ability to safely lift and handle construction materials, tools, and fixtures
