Kieffer’s Appliances, a 105 year old family-owned business located in Lansdale, PA , with rapidly growing annual revenue, is seeking a highly-driven individual for a full time Purchasing Assistant joining an existing Purchasing division.Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Manage the company's day-to-day purchasing at both direct and buying group levelsActs as a liaison between manufacturers and Kieffer’s Sales, Operations team, and WarehouseMonitor order status, delivery dates and back ordersReview orders acknowledgements/Invoices to verify accuracy; coordinate with accounting dept for financial balanceVerifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers and WarehouseCreate and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers.Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.Communicating clearly with inter-company departments and outside vendors.Job Specifications/Experience:Excellent Spreadsheet/Excel Capabilities a MustPreferred Two (2) or more years experience with inventory control and purchasingIn-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systemsAbility to understand and interact with multiple processes/systemsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Attention to detailDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
