Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities by engaging children in educational games, arts and crafts, and literacy exercises that promote early childhood development.
- Assist in implementing curriculum plans focused on literacy education, math skills, and behavioral management strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and encouraging positive social interactions.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to monitor progress in areas such as childhood development and classroom management.
- Provide personalized mentoring and tutoring to children who need extra support with reading, writing, or social skills.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori or other specialized teaching methods such as behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or autism to support inclusive learning environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to assist with proofreading educational materials and supporting literacy education initiatives.
- Experience in classroom management and behavior guidance strategies to foster positive behavior among students.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
