Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support early childhood development, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, organized, and positive learning environment for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and promote family engagement.
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and welfare are maintained at all times.
- Incorporate curriculum development strategies such as Montessori or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones using standardized testing tools when applicable.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Experience with special education needs and implementing inclusive teaching practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and child welfare standards.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable to ensure safety during emergencies.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the educational staff.
- Previous experience with curriculum planning, lesson execution, and child development instruction enhances your fit for this role.
