Kidwell is seeking a Data Center Team Lead in Omaha market. Applicants must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with a passion to lead a large team and job effectively. Previous experience running large sized jobs is preferred. Strong safety habits are a must with an ability to communicate the Kidwell Vision and find creative ways to manage the fast-paced and highly demanding data center industry.
Current State of Nebraska Journeyman license is required. All organizations deserve a first-rate experience when partnering with Kidwell, and this individual will help manage and develop our Foreman and team members to provide a high-quality product on time and on budget and help direct our Kidwell Teams on the project as they coordinate and facilitate communication between our Trade Partners, General Contractors and Clients. The ability to lead, manage and hold yourself and your team accountable to the necessary standards of Kidwell and the project are a necessity.

What You’ll Do
- Train and develop staff on a Data Center Site to create competent and capable teams
- Assist the Development Team and Site Mentors in growing and developing Kidwell Team members at all levels.
- Coordinate with the Project Management Team to communicate project needs, issues, and help to evaluate the status of the project in reference to the budget.
- Provide support to the Electrical Foreman, whether they need technical assistance with job or personnel-related issues
- Consistently meet or exceed Foreman's expectations. As a Team Lead, following Kidwell processes and procedures is of the utmost importance. For example, the following expectations must always be met-
- Assist the Foreman in strategic planning to delegate tasks to apprentices and journeyman on the jobsite
- Create and maintain a safe work environment, meeting or exceeding OSHA regulations and Data Center Site specific regulations and driving our Team to meet or exceed those expectations.
- Manage and coordinate changes to job scope, always aiming to keep jobs within the estimated budget and timeline
- Effectively prioritize tasks to ensure the timely completion of projects and jobs
- Work effectively with our trade partners, general contractors and other contractors on site to maintain project timelines, maintain safety, and work efficiently
- Assist in the management of Kidwell personnel on the site both subcontract and leased labor to meet the demanding needs of a Data Center Schedule, Manpower Requirements and strict safety protocols and procedures.
- Identify areas of improvement, initiate creative solutions to complex problems that help to create efficiency or improve safety for the site.
- Provide oversite and approval of time tracking processes which may include per diems
- Assist in determining tools and equipment needs to ensure a safe and efficient project.
- Previous experience managing large job sites and a Journeyman’s license are required
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills are required
- Must be passionate about developing an outstanding team and creating an environment that allows for growth opportunities, promotes safety and efficiency.
- Must not be afraid to respectfully hold teammates accountable to Kidwell Core Values and Standards.
- Minimum of 6 years of field experience is preferred
