2026 Houston Summer Camp Counselor

As a Kidventure Summer Camp Counselor, you’ll make a lasting impact in the lives of children while having one of the most rewarding—and fun—jobs out there. You’ll help create an environment where kids can grow, explore, and simply be kids.

Professionalism

• Model the Kidventure Way by showing professionalism, spreading positivity, and showing respect in all interactions.
• Be reliable by maintaining consistent attendance and arriving on time, prepared to work.
• Pursue growth by asking questions, seeking feedback, and applying constructive criticism.

Teamwork & Preparedness

• Support camp operations by completing assigned duties and staying flexible to assist other teams as needed.
• Collaborate with co-counselors to share camper supervision, activity leadership, and group management.
• Lead daily camp activities through organized set-up, facilitation, and clean-up, showing readiness and adaptability.

Camper Engagement & Safety

• Have fun with campers while maintaining clear leadership and authority.
• Use Kidventure-approved positive behavior management tools.
• Create a fun, engaging, and supportive camp environment where kids can thrive.
• Maintain a safe and organized camp environment at all times.

• By submitting this application, you are applying for a seasonal Summer Day Camp position in the Houston, Texas area, running from May through August.
• Similar positions are also available in Austin and Dallas–Fort Worth. Interest in those locations may be shared during the interview process.
