Early Childhood / School-Age Teacher (2-3y)

Kidsville Junction Childcare and Preschool is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Early Childhood / School-Age Teacher to join our team! We are seeking someone who is passionate about working with children and creating a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.

In this role, you will help children learn, grow, and build important social and developmental skills through engaging activities, age-appropriate curriculum, and meaningful interactions. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates well with families and coworkers, and takes pride in making a positive impact on the children in their care.

The School-Age Teacher position is a split-shift position.

Pay

$16.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on education, qualifications, and experience.

What You'll Do

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn and thrive.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, lessons, and learning experiences.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Provide positive classroom management and maintain appropriate classroom routines.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, development, and daily experiences.
• Provide individualized attention and support to children based on their unique needs.
• Support children with special needs and help ensure an inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to implement curriculum and maintain a high-quality learning environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
• Follow all applicable childcare, health, safety, and licensing requirements.
• Serve as a positive role model for children through professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience working with children required.
• 2,500 hours of experience working with children required.
• Pennsylvania State Child Abuse Clearance.
• Pennsylvania State Criminal Background Clearance.
• FBI Clearance.
• National Sex Offender Registry Clearance.
• Ability to successfully meet all Pennsylvania childcare and employment requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, patient, and comfortable working with children in a classroom setting.
• Early childhood education, education, or related degree/certification is a plus.
