Continued employment is contingent upon successfully completing training and certification program. Candidates will be evaluated on coaching ability, communication, professionalism, and alignment with KidsUnited culture.
Candidates must be available at least 3 days a week.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Coach engaging classes for children ages 1.5-9 years old
- Understand and communicate the why behind the KIDSUNITED curriculum clearly and confidently
- Review weekly programming to prepare in advance of classes
- Physically demonstrate drills, support proper technique, and keep every kid engaged and progressing
- Build positive relationships with both parents and children, creating a welcoming and encouraging environment
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress through daily parent feedback
- Keep accurate and timely records of player progress reviews
- Complete required certifications, ongoing training and attend team meetings to continue professional development and uphold program standards
- Support camps, tournaments and league sessions as required
- Support the club during birthday parties and other events
- Ensure that health and safety precautions are observed during all activities
Experience
- At least 6 months of coaching youth soccer OR 1 year of experience working with children, combined with a background in playing soccer
- Experience in PE, child development, athletic training, pediatric OT/PT, or a related field
- Comfortable having real conversations with parents about their child's progress
- Solid verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to work and function in a KIDSUNITED TEAM environment
- Flexible to work day, evening, and weekend hours as needed
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Experience working with children required
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
