WHAT IS KIDSTRONG?

KidStrong is a kids training program that builds strong, confident and high-character kids. KidStrong helps kids win at life by developing a strong body, mind and character through weekly 45 minute classes led by expert coaches.

KidStrong Elmwood Park is growing, and we're looking for talented, enthusiastic coaching professionals who are passionate, energetic, and are excited to engage with parents and kids! We are honored to alter the direction of children's lives through exercise, education, and, most importantly, by building confidence. Confidence is a gift that lasts a lifetime!

YOU'LL BE A GOOD FIT IF...

• You have a passion for working with children - this is non-negotiable!
• You are a loud extrovert who loves the spotlight and are able to project your voice at a HIGH volume!
• You are available for the required coaches certification process on Tuesday, January 27 and Wednesday, January 28 from 8:30 am - 7:30 pm both days.
• You meet the minimum availability requirements following training: two weekday evenings per week (3:30 pm - 7:45 pm) and one weekend day per week (8:00 am - 6:30 pm).*

• You have prior experience speaking to parents and can maintain a high level of comfortability engaging with families.
• You must be able to communicate in a proactive, professional manner via technology tools and maintain a high level of professionalism!
• You are positive, motivating, and have effective interpersonal communication skills
• You are a self-starter who gets the job done.
• You are a TEAM player who welcomes feedback and implements feedback!
• You an use various technology platforms with ease and embrace new technology.
• You are CPR, AED and first aid certified or willing to achieve this certification within 30 days of being hired.
  

NICE TO HAVE...

• Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age range (walking through 11 years old) is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.
• Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required.

TIPS FOR A SUCCESFUL INTERVIEW

• Bring a copy of your resume!
• Please arrive at our center by 2:50 pm on the date you selected, as we will begin promptly at 3:00 pm!
• We are located at 1704 N. Harlem Ave. Elmwood Park, IL 60707 (one block north of the North Ave. and Harlem Ave. intersection)
• We have complimentary parking available in a parking lot in front of the center (we are in the plaza with Jimmy John’s, FedEx, Wingstop, etc.)
  

A FEW MORE THINGS...

• Once hired, there is an opportunity to work additional hours through birthday parties, camps, parents' night out events and other offsite/onsite events.
• This is a year-round position, and candidates with summer-only or seasonal availability will not be considered.
• The coach schedule and class schedule are subject to change at any time based on member and/or center needs.
  
  

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages walking through 11 years old. KidStrong offers a science-based curriculum that is parent-focused and taught by professionals.
