Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $45,000 , depending on experience in children’s programming, coaching, leadership, and team development
- Bonus Structure: Attainable monthly bonus based on performance goals ($200-$500/month)

The Role
The Assistant General Manager is second-in-command at the center. Working closely with the General Manager, the AGM is responsible for fostering a culture of learning and development for coaches and families alike, while driving key business outcomes including sales performance and member retention.
This is not a typical 9-to-5 job. As the AGM of a KidStrong center, you are a driving force behind its success. While the schedule includes designated days off, true ownership means being present when needed - to support your team, engage with members, and seize opportunities to grow the center. The most successful AGMs embrace the flexibility and commitment required to build something great.
Key Responsibilities
Center Operations
- Understand the center’s key KPIs and financials to make informed, responsible business decisions
- Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families aligned with our core values and commitment to exceptional service
- Oversee center initiatives including maintenance, training, and brand consistency
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and upkeep of the center
- Communicate coach schedule changes using appropriate platforms
- Plan and sell events such as camps and parties to maximize center profitability
- Typical schedule: 4 weekdays and 1 weekend shift, with hours dependent on center needs
Sales
- Maintain flawless lead management through consistent outreach to new and existing leads in the CRM
- Finalize sales and bookings generated through the online self-sign-up flow
- Source and attend local events to increase brand awareness and drive incremental leads and memberships
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and manage the coaching team to create a positive, energetic, and high-performing environment
- Foster a coaching culture: see something, say something
- Continuously assess and document coaches against the KidStrong Coach DNA profile and class quality standards
- Partner with the GM on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and evaluating coaching candidates
- Support ongoing professional development of staff through LearnUpon
- Communicate professionally via Slack and email, including periodic checks when not on-site
- Engage with the community and grow class sizes through scheduling and marketing strategies
Coaching
- Coach 5-10 classes per week, delivering KidStrong’s evolving Brain, Physical, and Character curriculum for ages walking to ~11 years old
- The typical schedule includes 4 weekdays and 1-weekend shift with specific hours dependent on the needs of the center
- Understand and clearly articulate the “why” behind the KidStrong curriculum
- Demonstrate and manage implementation of programming and curriculum elements
- Use the KidStrong Coaches App to record attendance, awards, and student data
- Work comfortably in a physically intensive environment: covering multiple miles per shift, lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs
Who We’re Looking For
- 1-3 years of experience in management, sales, customer service, or operations
- Background in children’s programming, fitness, education, or athletics strongly preferred
- Athletic or coaching background with experience working with kids ages walking to 11 years old. A passion for working with children is non-negotiable
- Comfortable speaking with parents and guardians on a wide range of topics
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate, engage, and inspire both staff and members
- Proficient with Google and Microsoft platforms; experience with GloFox, LearnUpon, CareerPlug / really, or ADP a plus
- Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required
- Must be available to work weekends
Certifications Required
The following certifications can be obtained post-hire:
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- KidStrong Coach Certification (via HQ Training and Certification team)
