What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant General Manager position at KidStrong Natick?
We’re changing the way kids play and grow! KidStrong is Athletic Play – a new kind of activity for kids ages 1-11 that builds confidence, character, and family connection through science-based fitness games led by expert coaches.
As Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and daily direction to the Coaching team in our facilities. This critical position must have a solid understanding of operational excellence. As a lead for the Center, the AGM must execute member retention and trial conversion plan to increase fitness program sales as well as promote the health and wellness benefits that are associated with a healthy lifestyle and coach and mentor members. This leader must pose a high-caliber approach to coaching and staff development.
- Responsible for creating a positive, high-energy, professional Center environment
- Responsible for helping to manage all aspects of the KidStrong staff
- Coaches 10-12 KidStrong classes weekly, including weekends as needed
- Assists with the hiring process and educates/trains all new coaches
- Responsible for the organization & cleanliness of the center
- Responsible for supervising or performing any maintenance/upkeep to the Center floor and equipment to ensure that a clean and fresh appearance is kept. This includes bringing issues to the General Manager to get proper professionals in as needed.
- Responsible for building KidStrong attendance, retaining current members and achieving monthly revenue and net membership numbers.
- Responsible for watching utilization and amending schedules accordingly to meet the demands of the membership while ensuring staffing needs are adequate to meet any changing schedules.
- Responsible for the KidStrong coaching schedule - daily, weekly, and monthly and maintaining staff shift hours in HomeBase to ensure accurate payroll.
- Responsible for follow-up communication with new, current, and former KidStrong Center members.
- Conducts monthly template meetings with coaching staff and attends meetings with KidStrong HQ programmers to ensure understanding of new templates and programs.
- Handles member concerns in a professional, objective manner with the goal of resolution.
- Leads or assists the GM with KidStrong Center tours/sales with new prospects
- Assist GM by ensuring leads are followed up with quickly and trial classes are set up within 24-36 hours of reaching out.
- Performs an evaluation of each coach quarterly along with GM .
- Responsible for last-minute coverage as needed.
