About KidStrong


KidStrong is a science-based kids training program that helps children build confidence, strength, character, and social skills. We work with kids from walking age through approximately 11 years old and help them grow through movement, coaching, and positive encouragement.

We are looking for a high-energy, organized, and people-focused General Manager to lead our KidStrong center.

Position Overview


The General Manager is responsible for leading the center team, creating an exceptional member experience, developing coaches, driving sales and retention, and ensuring the center runs smoothly each day.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys leadership, coaching, customer service, sales, operations, and working with families in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

•  Lead daily center operations and ensure the center is clean, safe, organized, and operating according to KidStrong standards. 
•  Build strong relationships with families and provide an exceptional customer experience. 
•  Manage center performance, including membership growth, sales activity, retention, staffing, and overall center goals. 
•  Recruit, interview, onboard, train, schedule, and develop coaches and team members. 
•  Create and maintain staff schedules based on center needs. 
•  Lead and support the coaching team through feedback, accountability, and ongoing development. 
•  Manage leads, follow-up activity, trial conversions, membership sales, and event bookings. 
•  Schedule, promote, and sell KidStrong events such as camps, parties, and special programs. 
•  Attend local events to increase brand awareness and generate leads. 
•  Communicate professionally through company systems including Slack, email, and scheduling platforms. 
•  Attend weekly leadership meetings. 
•  Coach KidStrong classes as needed, typically 3–5 coaching hours per week. 

Qualifications

•  Previous management experience required. 
•  Experience leading, developing, or supervising a team. 
•  Athletic, coaching, fitness, recreation, youth programming, or child development background preferred. 
•  Experience working with children ages 15 months to 11 years old preferred. 
•  Passion for working with children and families is required. 
•  Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills. 
•  Sales, membership, or lead management experience preferred. 
•  Comfortable speaking with parents and guardians. 
•  Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft platforms preferred. 
•  CPR certification required or must be obtained. 
•  Must complete KidStrong Coach Certification and required training.

Physical Requirements


This role requires working in an active coaching environment. Team members may move throughout the center for extended periods of time, demonstrate exercises, interact with children, and lift or move equipment up to 25 pounds.

Schedule


The General Manager schedule typically includes four weekday shifts and one weekend shift. Exact days and hours may vary based on center needs, staffing, events, and business demands.
