What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLINICIAN I LICENSED position at KidsPeace?
The Clinician is responsible for overseeing and coordinating clinical services offered to assigned clients, including the provision of individual, group, and family therapy. The Clinician serves as liaison between clients, customers, parents, and other treatment team members to facilitate coordinated casework planning, therapy, and outcomes. The Clinician provides biopsychosocial information, treatment plan updates, discharge and aftercare planning, and other pertinent information in a clear and understandable fashion. The position requires the ability to make sound clinical decisions and judgments while advocating for client needs, and the ability to complete timely, effective and accurate documentation such as biopsychosocial and safety assessments, progress notes, discharge summaries, etc.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services or related field.
- Professional licensure (LAPC,LPC,LAMFT,LMT,LMSW,LCSW)
- Experience working with adolescents and their families in a mental and/or behavioral health setting preferred, particularly with major psychiatric diagnoses.
- Prior experience providing individual, group, and family therapy.
- Must possess moderate computer knowledge and skills.
- Working knowledge and understanding of specific therapeutic model - CBT, DBT
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
