As a Food Service Specialist at KidsPeace, you will play a vital role in supporting the children in our program by ensuring they receive nutritious, balanced meals that fuel their growth, learning, and development. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a positive and welcoming environment for the children we serve.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing and producing nutritious meals and snacks
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
- Managing meal service with attention to detail and efficiency
- Dishwashing and keeping kitchen areas organized
- Assisting children with nutrition education to encourage healthy habits
- Supporting purchasing processes, data collection, and maintaining accurate reports
Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment, sanitation procedures, and large-scale cooking
- Previous kitchen experience is required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset required
Available Schedules:
- Saturdays & Sundays - 8:00AM – 6:00PM More OPTIONAL week day hours available for full time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
