Part-Time Drop-In Daycare Teacher

Responsibilities
Child and Program Skills - under the direction of our center management, KidsPark teachers work as a team to care for children ages 2-12 and provide enriching activities in our center. This would include, but not limited to:
- Attentively supervise and interact with the children in order to make their visit safe, fun and enjoyable.
- Embrace a very active environment.
- Ensure that the children use the equipment and toys in a safe and prescribed manner.
- Redirect and guide the children to developmentally and socially appropriate behaviors.
- Organize, lead and supervise the children in activities that provide appropriate gross motor outlets.
- Lead activities that may include single or mixed age groups.
- Prepare, adapt, and present art activities that are developmentally appropriate for the children in our care.
- Be flexible with the changing KidsPark environment.
Professional Skills - maintain a professional image and contribute to our team goal of providing a high-level of care for all children. This would include but is not limited to:
- Present a professional image whenever representing or while on the premises of KidsPark.
- Be prepared and ready to work according to your scheduled times.
- Help with daily housekeeping and maintenance of our center.
- Suggest ways to improve the efficiency of our procedures and quality of our programs.
- Ensure work environment safety in the center at all times.
- Demonstrate initiative, good judgment, dependability, flexibility and organizational skills.
Requirements
Per the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services Licensing Regulations, a high school diploma is required for all staff. Additionally, staff are required to complete Department-recognized training on basic health & safety topics and child development. Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification is required.
In addition, we will seek people who have demonstrated:
- Good verbal skills with children and adults.
- Positive interactions with others.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 15 per week
