What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Program Teacher position at Kids Co.?
Do you enjoy working with kids? Kids Co. is hiring a part-time after-school teacher for our program located in the Green Lake/Wallingford neighborhood. Join our team where you will play a crucial role in nurturing students' growth and development during after-school hours. Responsibilities include:
- Creating a fun and safe environment that inspires curiosity and play.
- Engaging with students in a caring and nurturing manner - be a positive adult role model for kids.
- Supervising indoor and outdoor play
- Ensure the health and safety of students.
- Assist in cleaning the classroom each day.
- Preparing and serving healthy snacks.
- Following Kids Co. policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergency procedures, etc.
Where we work:
We operate our programs in 11 different schools, all located in Seattle. We work in the following neighborhoods: Magnolia, Green Lake, Eastlake/Capitol Hill, Rainier Beach, Ballard, Wedgewood, Queen Anne, and Northgate.
Typical Schedule
- Monday - 2p to 6p
- Tuesday - 2p to 6p
- Wednesday - 12:30p to 6p (early release day for kids)
- Thursday - 2p to 6p
- Friday - 2p to 6p
Pay rate: $21.00-$24.00/hr. depending on experience and education.
