Childcare Teacher / Daycare Teacher

Starting Pay: $14.00 per hour
Are you energetic, dependable, flexible, and passionate about helping children learn and grow? Kids World Inc. is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Childcare Teacher to join our team!
At Kids World, we provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, encourages their curiosity, and helps make every day a positive learning experience!
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel supported and encouraged to learn.
- Follow weekly curriculum plans and classroom themes to promote learning and development.
- Plan and lead daily classroom activities, including circle time, play-based learning, arts and crafts, and age-appropriate educational activities.
- Supervise children at all times and support their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Encourage positive behavior, independence, creativity, and social skills.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding children's daily activities, needs, and progress.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to provide quality care for children of different ages.
- Follow Kids World policies and all applicable Iowa DHS childcare licensing requirements.
- Participate in required training and professional development.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of experience working with children; experience with multiple age groups is preferred.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
- Must be willing to complete all required Iowa DHS trainings and on-the-job training.
- Dependable, flexible, patient, and able to work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Must enjoy working with children and be committed to providing quality care.
