Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in a safe and nurturing environment across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that encourages exploration and learning.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to support children's social skills and emotional regulation.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities.
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum activities aligned with developmental milestones.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and developmental progress.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to create a safe, engaging environment that fosters learning through play.
- Patience, compassion, adaptability, and a genuine love for working with children.
