What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Sterilization Technician and Office Maintenance position at Kids Smiles?
Purpose and Scope
The janitor/sterilization tech will work in our office ensuring the office maintains a clean and orderly environment as well as daily sterilization of all dental instruments. The hours are Monday through Thursday 10am to 6pm and two Fridays a month from 10am to 4pm.
Job Responsibilities
- Clean, stock and supply operatories
- Clean/Sterilize instruments following proper protocol
- Clean and stock restrooms, vacuum, mop floors, and wash windows
- Empty trash routinely
- Cooperate with staff
- Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned (Ability to climb a ladder as well as lift 50 lbs)
Required Experiences and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
- Ability to work independently and with integrity
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good organizational ability and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must understand and respect client confidentiality.
- Must be able to able to pass a criminal background check as well as child abuse clearances
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
