What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher's Assistant position at Kids Place Learning Center?
Kid's Place Learning Center is currently seeking dynamic individuals with a passion to work with children ranging in age from six weeks through ten years of age. As a Teacher Assistant it is important to be flexible in working with various age groups. You must be available to work Monday through Friday. Your work schedule may vary depending upon the needs of the program.
- Assists Teacher in implementation of our Curriculum. Maintains and utilizes classroom materials and supplies.
- Assumes classroom leadership responsibilities in absence of Teacher.
- Actively provides guidance and nurtures the needs of the children while supportive of each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development to meet their needs. Depending on age of children and ability, this may include, feeding, toileting, and diapering.
- Communicates effectively with students, parents and colleagues in a manner which is professional, polite, and respectful.
- Must be available Monday - Friday with reliable transportation. This is a year round position. You must be available to work on a regular basis between the hours of 6:30 am - 6:30pm. You will be assigned a shift during this time period.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a well- rounded educational experience.
- Must attend staff meetings as well as complete trainings as required by NYS OCFS.
- Attend community events as posted to help promote the program.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
