Role Description
This is a part-time/full-time, on-site role for an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) located in Westborough, MA. The OTA will work closely with children and their families to implement therapy plans developed by licensed occupational therapists. Responsibilities include supporting children in achieving therapeutic goals related to sensory processing, fine motor skills, and daily activities. The OTA will also assist in assessing progress, collaborate with team members, and maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation techniques to support developmental and functional goals.
- Strong skills in Patient Care and the ability to cultivate a nurturing, engaging environment for children and families.
- Experience in Program Development and implementation of therapy plans under the guidance of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Familiarity with Home Care practices, including providing family education and support as needed.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program; certification (COTA) is required.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for working with children and families.
