Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills, including teaching basic concepts and encouraging exploration
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that supports developmental milestones and classroom routines
• Administer first aid when necessary and follow health protocols to ensure children’s safety and hygiene standards are met
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate daily updates on children’s progress, behaviors, and needs
• Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized care
• Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and consistent boundaries

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in child care, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to handle behavioral challenges with tact and professionalism
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
• Demonstrated commitment to creating a safe, inclusive environment that supports learning and growth
• HS Diploma required. Must be willing to take EDU 119 within first year of employment.
• Associates in Early Childhood or related field preferred

Pay: $13.50 - $22.00 per hour
