Ready to make a difference this summer? Join our team at Kids Junction After School and Summer Camp! We’re looking for dedicated bus drivers to ensure safe transportation of our children! Our bus driver positions are seasonal, which allows for flexible scheduling. Driving opportunities are open for both after school and summer camp.
Who we are: Kids Junction Preschool Learning Center has been faithfully serving families in the Madison area through daycare and education since 2004. Since we are a family-run preschool and childcare center, the children who step through our doors are like an extension of our own family. About the job: After school duties include transportation from various schools in the Madison area to our center. Actual assigned routes can vary, and include both public and private schools. We only transport enrolled children to our center – no home routes or stops! Additional support staff is provided on larger routes. Hours for after school are generally Mondays 12:00 PM-3:30 PM and Tuesdays-Fridays 1:00 PM-3:30 PM with no nights or weekends! Non-school day hours are available as well, which includes off-site field trips.
Summer camp duties include daily field trip transportation for our two summer camps of school aged children (5-14). Hours vary each week and average between 15-25 hours with no nights or weekends! Hours depend on daily field trips and are generally back to the center no later than 4:00 PM. Teachers and support staff are on buses with drivers during transportation.
**CDL LICENSE WITH P ENDORSEMENT IS REQUIRED**
We're Looking for Team Members Who:
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Hold a CDL License with P endorsement
- Have 1 year of bus driving experience – preferred
- Have knowledge of bus maintenance – preferred
- Have experience working with school-age children (ages 5-14) - preferred
- Have the ability to foster teamwork and thrive in a collaborative environment
- Have a desire to make a difference in children's lives
- Demonstrate good communication skills and are skilled in remaining composed and effective in challenging situations
