What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Specialist position at Kids in Distress?
POSITION GOAL: This position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, security, functionality and aesthetics of the KID campus through the performance of routine, safety, preventative and requested janitorial services. This position is responsible to ensure KID meets or exceeds all applicable standards from any regulating entities that include but are not limited to; the Broward County Health Department Child Net and COA. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

- Education and/or experience:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred and experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. |

Must have the ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
- Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to frequently lift and/or carry equipment and items that may weigh up to 50 lbs. and must have the ability to work within a team.

Additionally, the work environment is a typical climate controlled office environment and the noise is usually moderate, but occasional situations louder noise will be prevalent.
