Job Title:
Hours per week: FULL TIME Monday - Friday
Compensation: starting $18/hr, based on experience
Reports to: Owner-Maren Moore
Primary Objective of Job: Responsible for the daily operations of the center and center programs. Manages day to day organization of Kids Garden staffing, activities, family registrations/accounts, software systems & daily revenue reports. Takes individual initiative to ensure high standards of care and impeccable customer service. Ability to demonstrate professionalism and expected standards of procedures during all working shifts. In addition, must be able to delegate responsibilities and tasks to ensure effective daily operation of the center. The director is responsible for maintaining records of all center staff and making sure they are up to date. The Director is to be well versed in all applicable State regulations and policies and able to communicate and enforce these on a daily basis.

Job Requirements:
-At least 6 months previous experience in childcare center
-Can pass a background check and clear central registry with DSS
-CPR/First Aid Certification
- Degree in Education or Experience in Management and Education.
Duties, Accountabilities and Limits of Authority: Job duties that are expected to be
performed unassisted or with limited assistance by the individual’s manager.
- Follows daily opening procedures and protocols for center operations.
- Reviews daily reports including revenue accountability and stay trak software records.
- Prepared with detailed lesson plans to implement daily and weekly. Includes center preparations and weekly inventory of supplies, camp preparations.
- Maintains Director Checklist and keeps individual file up to date with all required on-going documents..
- All Center Inventory monitored, ordered, and budget maintained.
- Maintains organization of front desk for professional check in/check out procedures.
- Able to offer effective feedback to staff/teachers to aid in areas of improvement.
- Leads weekly stand Ups to inform, educate, question, update & learn with staff on important issues as well as maintenance of center standards.
- Completely knowledgeable of all KG operations, programs, pricing, packages, policies, & procedures.
- Fully trained and fluent in use of Stay Trak software and Merchant Processing applications.
- Initiates staff productivity during daily shifts and with varying conditions.
- Supervise registration and enrollment of families. Checks all steps are followed and new families receive welcome email, newsletter updates and child files are complete.
- Manage center’s data including enrolled customer list, email list, mail chimp, and client agreements. This can be delegated to an office assistant or teacher with prior training.
- Manage centers daily numbers to reach monthly goals while understanding ratios and payroll budget.
- Post and maintain a working calendar of program activities & special events. Must be knowledgeable of
- County wide School Calendar as well as monthly holidays and city wide issues.
- Recruitment, Training & On boarding of New Staff to the center.
- Supervision of weekly and monthly staff schedule, request off, coverage, and shift changes.
- Implement strategies to recruit and maintain family enrollment. Direct outreach to reach set goals.
- Evaluate teachers on a quarterly basis. Have individual stand ups as needed to give feedback to staff.
- Supervise implementation of state licensing and child care safety procedures. Up to date on all State regulations and requirements and able to communicate these to all staff members
- Maintain staff files with all documentation and update accordingly-State Requirements (including but not limited to Blood borne pathogens training & CPR) Professional Development log, performance reviews, & growth with the company.
- Center maintenance and repairs reported to the owner and contractors scheduled with approval to repair.
- Maintain a visible presence to staff, children, and families.
- Conducts and records Monthly Fire Drills
- Manages center reservations to ensure we are not turning away any families when possible.
- Handles customer complaints using the Kids Garden standards and procedures.
- Weekly check in meetings with Owner of center
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
