What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Therapy Group - Hourly position at Kids for the Future?
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) will conduct occupational therapy sessions, as indicated, under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will assist with completion of other documentation related to occupational therapy, as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A minimum of an A.A.S. degree in Certified Occupational Therapist Assisting from an accredited college or university.
2. A current Arkansas license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
3. Must maintain certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
4. Prefer at least one year’s experience working with infants/toddlers and/or preschool children with developmental disabilities and/or special needs.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
1. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
2. Must be physically able to walk, stand, and stoop for several hours each day.
3. Must be willing and able to sit on the floor and get up without assistance.
