What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Director/Early Childhood Teacher position at Kids For The Future Rogers?
Kids For the Future Rogers is hiring a Child Care Director for our Early Intervention Day Treatment (EIDT) center. This individual should be a dynamic self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills. The Director will work as part of the management team to achieve the optimal and best quality for our children.
Our center serves children who have needs in the areas of Developmental therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and/or Nursing . Our role is to achieve Kindergarten readiness while providing the above-listed services in a comprehensive team approach for each child.
The Child Care Director reports to the Regional Director and is responsible for:
a. Administering, planning, managing, and controlling the daily activities of the center;
b. Ensuring that the facility meets licensing requirements;
c. Ensuring the health and safety of children; and
d. Providing prudent supervision of all staff and volunteers.
The Child Care Director will already be trained as or be willing to train as a CLASS observer and perform observations for our facility.
This position is 100% classroom based.
The Directors must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older, and provide documentation of
one (1) of the following educational levels:
a. Bachelor’s Degree or higher Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a
related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
b. Bachelor’s Degree in a non-related field from a regionally accredited college or
university plus one (1) of the following:
- Four (4) years of experience in early childhood education;
- Child Development Associate Credential (CDA); or
- Birth – Pre-K Credential.
c. Associate degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field, plus six(6) years of experience in Early Childhood Education; ord. Eight (8) years of experience in Early Childhood Education and completion of one(1) of the following, within two (2) years of employment: Child Development Associate Credential;
- Birth – Pre-K Credential;
- Director’s Credential or the equivalent; or
- Technical Certificate in Early Childhood Education
