Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, physical education, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Plan and execute engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, including Montessori and other pedagogical approaches.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Support children’s emotional well-being through positive reinforcement and personalized attention, especially in cases involving special education or early intervention needs.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate developmental progress and address individual child welfare concerns.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, and classroom activities to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and best practices.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Pre-School Teacher with bachelors degree
- Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education programs including tutoring in foundational skills.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches such as standardized testing or physical education is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners.
