Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive child supervision, ensuring safety and well-being at all times
- Facilitate engaging activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and early learning skills
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports developmental needs and safety standards
- Follow mandated reporting laws to document any concerns related to child welfare or safety
- Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and guiding children through routines and transitions
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; classroom experience preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in first aid is highly valued
- Familiarity with special education strategies and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws and child supervision standards
