What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Program Mentor position at Kids Count, Inc.?
KC1 is a residential treatment facility located in Butler. We hold a summer school program for the residents during the summer. The residents attend the program from approximately 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The Program will be from June 8th through August 21st. This is a temporary, full-time position (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm).
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma
- Experience with Children, Education, and/or Mental Health
- At least 21 years of age
- Driver's License
- Ability to obtain State, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances
Essential Functions:
- Assist other mentors in daily lessons and activities
- Develop therapeutic relationships with the residents
- Enforce rules and consequences
- Model and teach appropriate skills
- Transport residents when needed to outings
- Escort and supervise children during activities
- Document daily notes
- Assist residents with school assignments
- Communicate and collaborate with treatment team
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
