What are the responsibilities and job description for the Before and After School Teacher position at Kids Community Learning Center?
Kids Community is seeking a creative, compassionate, and fun-loving educator to join our Summer Camp and After School team.
The position is part-time (25 hours/week) during the school year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer working with K-6 students in a school-based program. Teacher responsibilities include planning and leading program activities, working with our teaching team to provide participants with a fun and safe environment, actively supervising kids during free-choice activities and games, frequently communicating with parents regarding participant behavior and progress, and participating in ongoing training and continuing education opportunities.
We are currently looking for teachers who are able to commit to working through the school year for our before and after-care program and into the summer program this summer.
Applicants must have experience working with school-aged children, have a strong knowledge of child development and classroom management. All applicants are required to have or obtain (within 90 days of employment) First Aid/CPR certification, Oregon Food Handlers certification, as well as Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect training. We are looking for individuals who will bring a positive attitude and energy to our amazing community of families and educators.
