KIDS Center works together with law enforcement, medical providers, and social service agencies to create a supportive response to child abuse through a multi-disciplinary team approach.
The full-time Development Specialist position is responsible for refining and implementing strategies to attract new donors and help steward existing donors. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Development & Marketing and the Development Team to segment donor groups, implement and execute tailored donor campaigns and communications, and increase donor engagement. This position will collaborate with team members to execute campaigns in email, social media, print and direct mail. In addition, this position will be a technology lead for KIDS Center’s web-based fundraising and CRM programs. The Development Specialist will also assist with the coordination and implementation of KIDS Center's annual Cork & Barrel fundraiser and other fundraising and development efforts as needed, including, but not limited to, annual Healing Hearts Luncheon, annual holiday card appeal, community tours, and beneficiary events.
This position plays an integral role in our annual Cork and Barrel fundraising event by providing all support needed leading up to, during, and after the event.
A successful Development Specialist will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years experience in the development field, and three years of experience coordinating events and other complex activities in support of development objectives. A combination of education and years of experience may be considered to meet the requirement.
Experience and proficency with online donor technology and detailed database management skills are essential.
The right fit will have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with leadership, prospects, donors, sponsors, vendors and/or volunteers in a wide range of roles.
