Responsibilities
- Safely operate camp transportation vehicles, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws
- Supervise children during bus rides, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Lead engaging camp activities that promote childhood development, teamwork, and creativity
- Manage classroom behavior with positive discipline techniques and effective behavior management strategies
- Provide first aid when necessary, maintaining calmness and professionalism in emergency situations
- Foster a welcoming environment by building strong relationships with campers, parents, and staff
- Support special education needs or behavioral challenges through compassionate guidance and tailored activities
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport
- Experience in classroom management, childcare, or camp settings preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain prior to camp start date
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or working with students is a plus
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
