Duties

- Manage classroom behavior by applying effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and practicing first aid and CPR when necessary.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external specialists.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as preschool teaching approaches.
- Knowledge of childhood welfare standards, daycare regulations, and mandated reporting laws.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; experience teaching physical education or tutoring is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.
