Position: Certified Special Instructor / Early Education Teacher
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Special Instructor/Early Education Teacher to join our Early Intervention team in partnership with Elwyn. This classroom-based role focuses on providing specialized instruction to children with disabilities, helping them grow academically, socially, and developmentally.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver research-based, individualized instruction aligned with each child’s IEP goals
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including goals, objectives, and service plans
- Serve as the IEP Manager for assigned students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Coordinate and ensure delivery of all special education services outlined in IEPs
- Create engaging, positive learning environments using a variety of teaching methods and tools (including iPads)
- Act as the primary point of contact for families, maintaining strong communication and support
- Conduct evaluations and reevaluations to assess student needs and progress
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education (N-12) or Early Childhood Education
- Strong understanding of special education principles, instructional strategies, and IEP development
- Experience working with children with developmental delays, including behavioral and emotional needs (e.g., ADD)
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and team members
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort using technology (e.g., iPads) to enhance learning
- Commitment to professionalism, reliability, and punctuality
