About The Role
At KidMed, you'll be able to make a difference every day, every patient:
- Equipment and trained support staff to accommodate patients with acute needs from birth through age 25
- Opportunity to perform procedures: laceration repairs/multilayer closures, I&D of abscesses, reduction of finger/toe fractures, foreign body removal, ingrown toenails, etc.
- Ability to treat fevers from the source with work-up down to 29 days old
- Anaphylaxis treatment and respiratory distress
- Cardiac issues, chest pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody stools
- Genitourinary, Neurologic, Ortho, and Derm
- In-house clinic for: suction, DME, IV fluids, and blood draws, injectable meds, and lab work
- Support for our providers and their patients with direct admits, navigation of specialist referrals for same/next day follow up, and close ties with local pediatric specialists
- Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program
- Valid license to practice as a NP/PA in the state of Virginia
- Valid DEA License (if applicable)
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Experience in pediatrics
- Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred)
- Base pay starts at $60/hour and increases up to $72/hour based on relevant experience.
- Productivity-based bonus program that begins at 2.8 patients per hour, with additional earnings for exceeding this threshold. This per-shift incentive bonus program gives you the opportunity to increase your pay every time you clock in. Most shifts meet bonus levels, with annual incentives adding approximately 10-20% more to your base compensation.
- Earn $5 shift differential for working weekends
- Additional shift differentials offered for holiday coverage
- Flexible Scheduling - KidMed offers a variety of shifts to support both your personal life and professional goals:
- Monday to Thursday - 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- ○ Friday - 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- ○ Saturday and Sunday - 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
