Overview:
As a Medical Assistant at KidMed Pediatric Urgent Care, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, delivering high-quality care to children in our community. You will work alongside providers and healthcare professionals who share your passion for pediatric medicine and commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist providers and nurses with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Take and record vital signs, perform basic laboratory tests, and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits.
- Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records (EHR) for each patient encounter.
- Provide clear instructions to patients and caregivers regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and processing patient paperwork.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and their families.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
