Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of children in a nurturing environment, assisting with daily activities, educational programs, and behavior management. Duties
- Assist in supervising children during play, meals, naps, and educational activities
- Support classroom management and behavior guidance in accordance with developmental needs
- Help facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences and activities that promote childhood development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, including administering basic first aid when necessary
- Collaborate with lead teachers and caregivers to implement curriculum plans
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities and children's progress
- Support children with special needs or disabilities as required
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and other personal care routines for infants and toddlers
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or children with disabilities is highly desirable
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected
- Previous caregiving roles involving childcare, babysitting, or caregiving for young children are advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
