Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants and toddlers
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive interactions among children
- Monitor and document each child's developmental progress using standardized assessments and observation techniques
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's milestones, daily activities, and any concerns or updates
- Manage classroom routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with health and safety standards
- Apply behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation among young children
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan engaging activities that incorporate early literacy education, sensory play, and physical development
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a childcare or preschool setting, specifically with infants and toddlers. We will train the right fit if that means you have no experience.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development tailored to early learners’ needs
- Certification in First Aid and CPR required; If you do not have this certification we are able to certify you.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Classroom management skills to create an organized, safe learning environment that fosters growth and curiosity
- Experience with behavior management techniques suitable for young children and classroom management strategies
- Flexibility to adapt lesson plans based on individual child needs and developmental progress
