What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant and Toddler Teacher position at Kiddie Care Preschool Lauderhill?
We are seeking a committed and dedicated teacher who loves working with young children and has a passion for teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement weekly, age-appropriate lesson plans
- Create a nurturing, loving, and safe environment for all children
- Support children in reaching developmental milestones
- Change diapers and assist with potty training
- Perform and document daily health checks and attendance
- Maintain positive communication with parents, students, and staff
- Assist with circle time and daily classroom activities
- Follow daily classroom schedules
- Work collaboratively as a positive team player
- Maintain strong classroom management and organization
- Keep a clean, healthy, and safe classroom environment
- Lift 25–45 pounds as needed
- Actively interact with children throughout the day
- Be punctual, reliable, and flexible with assignments
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (required)
- 45 hours of DCF childcare training (required)
- CDA/FCCPC certification or Early Childhood Education degree (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Level II background screening (Clearinghouse)
Skills & Attributes:
- Proven experience as a teacher preferred
- Strong knowledge of best teaching practices and childcare regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
