Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Co-Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to engage children in meaningful learning experiences.
Closing Shift (non-negotiable) 9am-6pm
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all students.
- Provide individualized attention to children, catering to their unique needs and learning styles.
- Educate children on basic concepts such as numbers, letters, colors, and shapes through interactive activities.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating with parents about their child's growth.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports children with special needs or disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Excellent classroom management skills to maintain a structured learning environment.
- First Aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience in toddler care is highly desirable.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
