What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Lead/Assistant Teacher position at Kiddie Academy?

Interested candidates must meet the DCF requirements. All candidates must have completed the DCF state-mandated 45 hours and have at least 1-year of experience. Candidates must also love children, have a passion and love of learning, and be interested in becoming a member of our strong team.
Duties
Daily Responsibilities:
Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together to:
- Developing lesson plans.
- Meeting the individual's needs of the children
- Parent communication.
- Participation in staff and training meetings.
- Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
- Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
- Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
- Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
- Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
- Building teamwork.
- Using assessment tools.
- Committing to continuing education.
Requirements
-Minimum of one (1) year of professional child care experience.
-Strong oral and written communication skills.
-Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and foster a team environment.
-A strong understanding of child development.
-Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
-Minimum of forty-five (45) hours of DCF requirements
-Must clear full background check and must pass a health screening.
