Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood education and developmental milestones
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a structured environment
- Provide attentive care to children, including supervising activities, assisting with diapering or toileting, and ensuring safety at all times
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning, creativity, and social skills
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care as needed
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom, toys, and learning materials
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
Skills
- Demonstrated experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- First aid certification and training in child safety procedures
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and children
- Compassionate caregiving skills for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with diverse needs
