Kiddie Academy of Tigard has an immediate opening for a patient, flexible, and nurturing Toddler Teacher to care for our young learners (12-36 months). What You'll Do
- Plan and lead daily activities using our Life Essentials® curriculum
- Manage and supervise the classroom with a co-teacher
- Provide responsive care, including feeding, diapering, and safe-sleep practices
- Track and share each child's daily routines and developmental milestones with families
- Keep the classroom clean, safe, and in line with licensing and health standards
- Address parent, child, and staff concerns promptly and professionally
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Warm, patient demeanor with strong communication and teamwork skills
- At least 1 year of experience in a licensed child care setting (toddler experience preferred)
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- CDA or coursework/degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements (CPR/First Aid, Safe sleep certficate etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and to sit on the floor, bend, and kneel frequently
