Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Floater Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to promote a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for children
- Help with lesson planning and delivering child development instruction that aligns with developmental milestones and individualized needs
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and physical development
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns, ensuring transparency and strong home-school connections
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety protocols in accordance with childcare regulations and mandated reporting laws
- Participate in ongoing training on topics such as special education, early intervention techniques, childhood welfare, first aid and CPR certification, and standardized testing procedures
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, private schools, or early intervention programs is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities for young learners
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Knowledge of special education needs and accommodations for children requiring additional support or individualized instruction
- Hands-on experience with teaching physical education or literacy education is advantageous
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential
