Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive, age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles to promote holistic childhood development.
- Lead classroom activities that support working with children across diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs.
- Manage daily classroom operations with a focus on behavior management, classroom management techniques, and child welfare to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth in preschool-aged children.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate standardized testing results and assessment data into instructional strategies to monitor progress and tailor support for individual students.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and areas needing additional support through regular updates and conferences.
- Supervise classroom assistants and support staff to maintain high standards of childcare, daycare practices, and preschool experience quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong background in early childhood education.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, literacy education methods, and Montessori approaches is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Formal training or certification in early childhood education or related fields; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods to support student growth.
