Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum plans that support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Supervise and support teaching staff through ongoing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to maintain high-quality educational standards.
- Ensure the childcare center complies with all local, state, and federal licensing requirements, safety regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Manage daily operations including enrollment processes, parent communication, staff scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure smooth functioning of the center.
- Foster positive relationships with families by providing regular updates on children’s progress, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming community environment.
- Oversee health and safety protocols, including emergency procedures, sanitation practices, and child supervision policies to guarantee a secure setting for all children.
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incident reports, staff certifications, and licensing documentation.
- Promote continuous improvement by staying current with best practices in early childhood education and integrating innovative approaches into program delivery.
Experience
- Bachelors in early childhood education
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Director of a large center of 75 or more children.
- Proven experience in education administration or managing a childcare or preschool program.
- Prior university experience or involvement in academic settings related to education is advantageous.
- Demonstrated teaching experience working directly with young children across various developmental stages.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster professional growth among staff members.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with parents, staff, licensing agencies, and community partners.
