Position Overview:

The Floater Teacher is a flexible and reliable team member who steps into classrooms across all age groups to support teachers. This educator will be focusing on providing colleagues breaks from the classroom, and closing down the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate lessons and play-based activities
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment in each classroom
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families
  • Step in seamlessly across classrooms as needed throughout the day
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally rich learning space
  • Follow Kiddie Academy standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a licensed child care setting
  • 45 Hour DCF Training preferred (willingness to obtain within 6 month of hire required)
  • Strong adaptability—able to adjust to different age groups and routines
  • A team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Must pass all background and health screenings required by state licensing
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday 12:30PM-6:30PM

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
