Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher Assistant to support our early childhood education team. This role involves assisting lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for toddlers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess strong classroom management skills, and be committed to fostering developmental growth in a preschool setting.
Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on childhood development and early learning activities
- Assist with supervising children during classroom activities, playtime, and mealtime to ensure safety and engagement
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment suitable for toddler care
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
- Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and other basic childcare routines in compliance with health and safety standards
- Observe and document children's progress and communicate relevant information to lead teachers and parents as needed
- Participate in ongoing training related to early childhood education, first aid, and caregiving best practices
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques
- Certification in first aid is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and enthusiasm for early childhood education
- Ability to pass background checks and adhere to health and safety regulations related to childcare environments
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
